Nick Mohammed sparks new Ted Lasso rumors in a video
Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed has hinted at the return of the series.
Evidence continues to show that Apple TV+’s hit show “Ted Lasso” is returning for a fourth season.
The latest tip comes from former cast member Nick Mohammed, who played assistant coach Nate Shelley on the hit series. Mohammed posted a video on X.com on January 16 to announce that some of the first dates of his upcoming UK tour will be rescheduled due to unnamed “filming”.
Mohammed was to begin the tour “show pony” live “show that goes wrong” type of comedy with music and magic, in April.
As the eccentric protagonist of the show, Mr. Swallow, Mohammed explains in a short video that the rescheduling of some dates is due to “some filming that I haven’t been able to move.” In the video, he refuses to name what he’s about to film, but the “Believe” sign is partially visible at the end of the announcement, leaving no doubt.

“Ted Lasso” was Apple TV+’s first big hit series since its first original movie’s surprise Oscar win. Coda. Although the third season of “Ted Lasso” ended with Ted (Jason Sudekis) announcing his retirement and returning home to Kansas, its ending was widely praised and considered a strong and emotional conclusion.
From rumors to industry confirmation
One of the first solid hints that the show might return for a fourth season came in the form of a comment from Apple CEO Tim Cook. Actor Jeremy Swift (who played Leslie Higgins) recounted a conversation with Cook in which the CEO expressed his desire for a fourth season.

In August 2024, Kauppalehti reported that Warner Brothers had optioned Hanna Waddingham (Rebecca), Swift and Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent). There was no word if star Jason Sudekis had been approached, but he had previously expressed his satisfaction with the show’s ending.
In October 2024, Apple TV fan Sigmund Judge posted on X.com that “Ted Lasso” season 4 would go into pre-production in January. Mohammed’s announcement of rescheduled theater dates suggests that pre-production is now underway and contracts are being signed for a return.
